Tohar Foods ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit toharfoods.com or contact us via WhatsApp, phone, or email, how we use it, and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

1. What We Collect

Analytics data — only if you consent

If you click "Accept" on the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site: device and browser type, approximate location (derived from IP address), pages viewed, and which products you show interest in. Google Analytics sets a cookie containing a randomly generated identifier for your browser. If you click "Decline," none of this is collected, and no analytics cookie is set. You can change your choice anytime via "Cookie Preferences" in the footer.

Information you share with us directly

When you tap "Enquire on WhatsApp," "Bulk / Wholesale Enquiry," or otherwise contact us via WhatsApp or email, we receive whatever information you choose to share — typically your name, phone number, and, if you place an order, your delivery address.

If you use the contact form on this site, we collect your name, email address, the category you select, and your message — sent directly to our inbox to respond to you. This is not stored in any database beyond standard email delivery; it exists only as the email itself.

If you use the "Notify Me" pre-launch signup, we collect your name, WhatsApp number, and preferred product — sent directly to our inbox so we can message you on WhatsApp when that product launches. As with the contact form, this is not stored in any database beyond the email itself.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To understand which products visitors are most interested in, so we know what to prioritise making — this is the main reason this site exists.
  • To respond to your enquiries and fulfil orders.
  • To improve the website itself.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone, and we do not use it for purposes beyond what's described here.

3. Cookies

The only cookies this site sets are Google Analytics cookies, and only after you accept them via the cookie banner. These help us see aggregate patterns (like which products get the most interest) — they are not used to identify you personally. See "Cookie Preferences" in the footer to review or change your choice at any time.

4. Third Parties We Share Data With

  • Google (Google Analytics) — processes analytics data on our behalf if you've accepted cookies. Governed by Google's own privacy policy.
  • WhatsApp / Meta — when you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
  • Resend — delivers the contact form's and "Notify Me" signup's emails to us. Only processes what you submit through those forms; governed by Resend's own privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

We keep information shared via WhatsApp, phone, or email only as long as needed to respond to your enquiry or fulfil your order, or as required by law. Analytics data (if you've consented) is retained per Google Analytics' standard retention settings.

6. Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct or update inaccurate data
  • Request erasure of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Lodge a grievance
